I've had bio hazard training and the mask thi8ng only help some one from giving it to some one else but does nothing to stop you from getting it. Only way for anyone to be safe is every one wear a full hazmat suit with its own air supply.
Also many who died did they really die from the virus or was it there bad heart etc?? Many death are being said it was the virus but good chance many where other thing but being stamped as being the virus
