The soil in west central Stearns and into Pope, Kandiyohi, and Meeker still respond better to moldboard plowing than chisel or ripping. It�s not everybody, but there is still a demand for plows and it�s not uncommon to see a plow or a plowed field. The Plowman�s Association still has a strong patronage in this region and one of the 4 generation daughters has many state and national trophies.
I happened to be watching The Minnesota Millenial Farmer last night and he was setting up for strip till banding in his bean ground. With Trimble that is entirely possible, but it makes me wonder what Pa would think.
