Last Saturday had a service call on a no crank MF285 I got the parts in Friday built the starter and installed it today. I took care of all the debris from this weeks storm, cleaned all the gutters on my shops, fixed a loose piece of tin on a storage building, found a screw that had backed out on the metal roof on my main shop replaced it and checked the others. I fired up my generator for a test run, I cooked a steak came back to the shop to do some book work got quite a bit done I can not log on tho the banks web site to get my bank statement : (...

Its been a long time since I built a starter the local starter repair shop closed up it was not bad to do its a Delco Remy the bad its weighs 52lbs... A set of brushes a seal a good cleaning and turn the armature was all it needed $10 in parts and $215.00 in labor. A replacement will run in the 3's to 500 does not include tax/shipping/labor so I took the chance it worked out great..

His kid a 8 year old said I got an apron he ran to the barn and got it on... It made me feel good he wanted to be like me... His mom and dad are both doctors I spec he can be anything he wants to be...
