Have to pull the axle shaft on a drive axle unless it has out board drums which is highly unlikely so on that old of a truck. Then check the wheel bearings while they are off. And a new oil seal. Get a Stemco for it if you have to order it. The rest are just junk. Will need replaced in a few years. The Stemco will last for at least 10 years if put in correctly. The grit guardian has a wear sleeve for the axle and then the seal goes in the hub. Only seals I will use and been using wheel seals on trucks for over 30 years. Local supplier sometimes gets upset when I won't use one of his cheap seals.I demand the Stemco hesays they sell a lot of the others. I say yup cause they are junk.
