The Ford early 4000 SOS has a 3.6 planetary reduction output, the 6000 SOS does not use it. I bolted 4000 rear axle to the 6000 SOS transmission, which speeds up the 4000 axle 3.6 times faster than stock. Had to have a special coupler welded up for it to work. Smaller 11.2 X 24 radials are on to slow it down a bit. In ninth gear 15 MPH engine is turning about 900 RPM, it has gotten 25 MPG a couple times on drives this summer in that gear..
