A few weeks ago I picked up a couple 7 ft. posts at Fleet Farm. The guy who loaded then for me made a similar comment about how nice it was to see a pickup with a full size bed that could actually haul something!
Mine does have an extended cab, which I could also do without, as it makes the truck plenty long and hard to maneuver sometimes. But I wouldn't trade the 8 ft. bed for anything!
Regarding the original pickup which started this thread--It's his truck to do whatever he wants with. It might not be what I would have done, but it's not mine. There is still some very fine workmanship there, and the person who built it did an incredible job. For us to come here and rip on it is in poor taste.
