Hey but were not wiring Boeings !!! It's NOT ONLY wire ampacity and voltage drop I would consider but the MECHANICAL STRENGTH. While 16 Gauge would more then handle 4 amps of current, I would still use 14 Gauge wire for the short distance from the coil to distributor since such a teeny tiny hardly measurable weight difference in say 14 versus 16 gauge wire doesn't matter in a 3000 pound tractor. Often more weight is added to a tractor for increased traction anyway, even MORE reason to use heavier wire lol
