Dad had a 269, same horizontal feed system as a 268, vs the vertical feed chain like your 315 has. The 268/9 were notorious for making banana bales if they weren't fed the right windrow shape/volume. Personally, I would rather have a 270/271 with the vertical feed, over a 268 or 9. On the other hand, $600 is a pretty small amount for a working baler.
