I am planning to do some updates to my 1939 Farmall M and I have a few questions to see if everything is correct on it.
1. I will be changing the oil and I am unsure what oil to use. The tractor is not used when it's really cold out. My dad fully restored the tractor and it used to be used in parades and family fun days around the field. That is all I really use it for anymore other than hauling some firewood. From the research I have done I have read to use 15w-40. It says it's for Diesel engines but I assume that doesn't matter?
2. Is there a way for me to check the level of the transmission fluid to make sure it's not low?
3. Are there any other fluid levels I should check on the M, other than the coolant? I've checked that and it looks good!
