Not sure about the lift ability, but as far as cut, my 6' Land Pride does a great job and my 8n handles it fine. I also have a 5' King Kutter that is ok but doesn't cut nearly as nice as the Pride. I prefer a side discharge that has the v portion on the leading edge instead of vice versa. My Pride is substantially heavier built than the Kutter. The 8n will lift this mower easily, but I rarely do it because it is always spinning in the air. For the most part, I use it as a pull type implement.
