SC lift ability

Have a Super C with a work saver 3pt attachment. Looking to put a 3pt finish mower on it. How much weight could I expect to lift with this sit-up? Also anyone have knowledge of the county line mowers. I am looking at 3pt mowers because I could also use it on my MF 135 as well. For those who use 3pt mowers, are you satisfied with the cut? Thanks for any advice.

How big of a finish mower are you talking about? I mow my 5 acre yard with a 7' finish mower on my Ford 3000. Just remember the larger the finish mower the flatter the ground needs to be to avoid scalping. I am very pleased with how nice my finish mower cuts. It basically just the giant mower deck.

I just traded off a 4 or 5 foot finish mower that my home made 3 point on my A/C would lift with no problem but lacked the HP to run it well in real thick grass and weed but I am also talking stuff that was 2-3 foot tall. Your tractor is a lot more tractor then a A/C C is

Are you just cutting lawn grass? You should be ok with a 6' and definitely a 5'. Finish mowers really are not for cutting tall thick stuff. Not to say it can't but you have to go really slow and they have there limitations just like anything. It's not a heavy rotory cutter. Just think of a finish mower as a pull behind riding mower deck.

I ran a heavy Schultz 5 foot "brush hog" for several years on a 200, which is for all practical purposes a Super C. Worked fine. Note that I do have a platform up front with about 150# rock on it, but think would be OK without.

I ran a 6 foot behind my SC. I pulled it fine but the yard was too tight for the tractor, remember when you push the clutch down the mower will stop.

I use a 6ft King Cutter finish mower behind my 8N Ford. No problem with power or lifting it. Does and excellent job. I would think that you would have no problem pulling that.

King Cutter and County Line are the same machines. They are not the heaviest built things but if used with a modicum of care, they hold up just fine. Biggest mistake people make is using the big rotary mowers as bush hogs. They're not meant for cutting heavy brush.

Not sure about the lift ability, but as far as cut, my 6' Land Pride does a great job and my 8n handles it fine. I also have a 5' King Kutter that is ok but doesn't cut nearly as nice as the Pride. I prefer a side discharge that has the v portion on the leading edge instead of vice versa. My Pride is substantially heavier built than the Kutter. The 8n will lift this mower easily, but I rarely do it because it is always spinning in the air. For the most part, I use it as a pull type implement.

I had a five ft bush hog on the back of my super C. Made the front end light but will handle the weight. If you use a finish mower would work with a five or six ft model.
