Good for you- taking the time to find the correct fasteners. While nice shiny cad plate nuts and bolts are practical, they sure look out of place on old implements. I've had good luck with a local bolt supply. They still have an extensive counter book, and they will let you go through it. If it's in the book, they can get it. Not always cheap, but there is an amazing amount of stuff still available. I've had some luck in old time hardware stores, both for small square nuts and bolts, and slot head stove bolts. I've found long bolts for timber construction which can be re-threaded in the lathe to make shorter and odd ball sizes. unc
