I usually do one row crop a year as it is easier to manage. I did corn this year, so far weather has been perfect, so crop looks good. I have been busy at work last few years and thistles have got hold. I can hit them good with 24D this year, and next year too if I go corn on corn, so I am thinking I will do that.
I might try to put a cover crop on this fall, depending on how early winter sets in. I usually no till, but think I will do tillage in the spring, as the neighbor did corn on corn no till and had a lot of planting problems. I am also putting in tile on my home place this fall.
