This was a Golf course tractor at one time so good chance it saw a lot of braking as it mowed the greens etc. I jacked up the side with the new brakes and turned the wheel as much as I could which was not much and pulled on the brake lever and I could make the brake grab but could not do that if I hooked up the rod to the brake pedal. Shoes went into the drum super easy. Also new shoes appear to be say an 1/8 inch or more thicker then the ones I pulled out
