It has its own lift pump that, according to Stanadyne, can lift from 30 feet. Adding an external fuel pump is fine as long as its pressure is not so high it can effect your timing-advance. The timing advance works off the same pump that works as a combination lift-pump, charge-pump, and to supply PSI for the automatic timing advance. If it was mine, I would stick to something 5 PSI or less. I do not know anything about the 5105. If the tank totally gravity feed? Just curious. separate lift-pumps are usually installed if the tank is not full gravity, for the purpose of filter-bleeding. By the way, good luck fining a quality low-pressure electric pump. Many are garbage. Walbro makes some excellent ones but they cost a fortune.
