I know this isn’t really tractor or classic related but I thought I would check the brain trust on here. I have a 1997 1780 12/23 conservation till and this week is has started going a little nuts. Some times when I turn on the end row and start to put the planter in the ground it starts to fold up on me and I have to stop switch to transport mode and unfold the planter to get the lock hooks to catch on the sliding frame. I have tightened the hook adjustment rod as tight as it will go and it is still doing it. Tonight it was only doing it on the north end of the field and with turning and trying to find my marker and get the planter back in the ground I can’t see what exactly is going on for sure and it doesn’t do it every time and seems to be worse right after I’ve unfolded and began planting. After a while it will stop trying to fold. It only does it as I drop the planter back into the ground. Everything seems to be working fine it folds and unfolds as normal I’m just getting 8-10 unexpected fold ups per field. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Some purist I'm sure will disagree to no end with what I will tell you but most of us out here in the real world don't really care do we ? Some of them only bring their noses down out of the air long enough to look down them anyway. If you are like me you are only doing this old tractor stuff because you enjoy it. You
