Water settling to the bottom of the bowl is common IF you are running straight gasoline, not ethanol blend.
If it has E10 in the tank, and there is water in the bowl, likely the tank is really saturated with water. It will need to be dumped out, rinsed with some E85 if you can find it. Be careful handling the tank. If it's already developed a pin hole, you can bet there are other thin spots.
If the flow through the tank valve is not good the screen inside the tank may be clogged. Try blowing back through valve. Remove the gas cap first. I would only remove the valve as a last resort, the entire fitting could easily twist out of the tank.
If air is what you are seeing, don't worry about it. It's just some air locked in the bowl. It will work out as it gets used and sloshed around.
