Jim, I did notice that the valve was a high GPM and didn�t really think about the point of the feathering. I was surprised when I was searching the Surplus Center site and limited the valve search to only open center valves this valve and a log splitter valve are what showed. I didn�t chose the log splitter valve because it is probably detented for the return stroke. Which thinking about it may not be terrible for a grapple to detent on the open stroke. I should have maybe did a general web valve search but I wanted to make the poster aware of the economical pricing of hydraulic hose from Surplus Center. Thanks for stating your point, well taken. I will attach a link to the log splitter valve and this time I will use the wording....as an example see the attached.
