I have a John Deere 2120 with draft control. I am pulling a cultivator with draft control lever where it should not affect the depth (off position). When I hit a more solid spot in the ground it not only raises the cultivator it moves the depth control lever up as well so the cultivator does not go back down automatically (at first I thought my leg was just hitting the depth lever). By the time I get to the end of a row sometimes I am hardly in the ground if I don't keep adjusting the control lever back down. To test it I have also move draft control lever all the way the other way and this made it worse and tried the mid position as well with no luck. With this test I am certain I am in the "off position" for draft control but still having it interfere. My question is should the depth lever move up (and stay up) when this happens or just the cultivator move up and then back down automatically? And of course, why cant I shut this feature off fully?
