Farming in central NY has been hit and miss. April was relatively dry, [which is good, as we're typically cloudy/wet]. But it was cold, so ground was not workable a whole lot. Some seedings [hay] have been done, but there's more to go. A little corn stabbed in here and there. A week ago here in southern Cayuga county we were flooded with a months worth of rain in a few hours. Surprisingly, we have recovered from that, BUT, now it's frost every night, and snow this weekend. We're not real wet, nor getting a lot of moisture, but there's no drying going on. Soil temp dropping steadily for the last week! So, we're on a cold hold.
