I have posted on here about wanting an IH 550 or 555 chopper (forage harvester). A bought a 650 off an online auction last fall and the heads were very nice but the base machine was wore out. Cliff Nelson a poster here called and said his Dad had a good shed kept one. I was able to get it last week and the nice part is he lives less than an hour away. I ran it and oiled it up. I am planning on mounting a mower bar head on it to chop oats for my beef cows. I have a one row, two row wide, two row narrow, pickup and mower bar (direct cut) heads for it. I would sell the two row narrow if anyone is interested. I will post more pics latter in the summer when chopping oats. I would also like to find a nice IH 51 wagon to go with it.
