Is your lite sw the original and is the cutout original sounds like your system is not matched. When you ground the field with gen running it should show charge if it does it is the cutout if not it is the gen are all systems grounded to the tractor. You need to look up BOB Ms wiring dia for the 51 SC. The new 4 position is it the original type or a replacement
