My grandfather had them on his plow. They worked the soil a little as it rolled off the plow moldboards. They were spring loaded to help with stones . I remember if it was weedy or cornstalks they would build up a clump then when it got too big the tines would ride up and over it.Usually discing ahead of the plow would take care of that issue. They actually worked pretty good in proper conditions and I imagine would work even better on sandier soil compared to our clay loams . I cant tell you who made them but possibly they were bought at TSC back when it was more of a farm store. I seem to remember it was fairly easy to remove them .
