I steamed off a tractor today to put a clutch in it. As I washed I kept seeing some well done repairs. That's history don't you think? The front pulley had a piece broke out and welded back in. The air cleaner had come loose from its mount and was welded back in place real good. The flange of the starter were it bolts to the bell housing had all three ears welded back on. Here is were I had trouble though. The little settlement area on the bottom of the fuel tank must have rusted out at some time. I just thought there was some dirt built up on it so I sprayed it good with the steam cleaner. Twelve gallons later it stopped leaking. It had been repaired with JB weld. The clevis for the clutch lever had been brazed back together too.
