I had both knees replaced about fifteen years ago and can walk indefinitely with no pain today and I am crowding 80 years old. I had them done at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and they did them six months apart. It is very important where you have them done. Their are two things they guard against, one being infection and the other is blood clots. Both are extremely bad news. You don't need to worry about kneeling down. The first time you do you will stand back up real quick and say I just learned a lesson. Mother always said that I never spent enough time on my knees anyway. The therapy is good as you will need it to get full extention and flexation back but it does not take long. Hope this helps.
