While on that machine I cannot be 100% sure but on most one can flip the generator bracket and then use a long bolt to mount the alternator. Me I would use an alternator made to fit a 1980 Chevy pickup no A/C no power anything. New cost is around $50. That is a Delco 10SI 3 wire alternator
