What baffles me is I have known of Toyotas as old as 1986 having frame issues from rusting out where they are boxed just ahead of the rear wheels. Let's say at least by 1996 so 10 years more or less these showed up. Now here we are all these years later and Toyota is still replacing frames and has not figured out why they rot away and how to prevent it. They have at least been paying to have the frames replaced. I think some of the guys at work have some as new as 2010 ? getting frames still. I joke with them and ask if when you buy a new truck do they book you an appointment for a new frame X number of years down the road ? lol.
