Correct. Even though millions of acre-feet of water are imported into the Central Valley and the High Plains every year, the water table continues to drop, because agriculture uses far more water every year than is received in rainfall and from aquaducts. Which is to say the idea (asserted by you and Part Time) that farmers are somehow replenishing groundwater is utter nonsense.
