My son purchased a 784 at a consignment auction. We are in the process of getting some problems corrected. It would be helpful to have it's Serial Number. There are some parts that have a S/N break when ordering. It has 4wd and a 2250 loader. We removed the right hand loader frame to expose the bolster where the S/N plate is supposed to be. The mounting rivets are still there but no plate. Is there any other means of determining its S/N or even a range it should be in? Am wondering if there are any casting numbers or other ID numbers that could give us an indication of it's probable S/N or range.
