Comments on the mpg..... has a lot to do with the rearend ratio and towing capacity. They all are very close when similar equipped in that area. A 4.11 rearend is NOT going to get the same mpg as 3.11 rearend. A 4wd will not do as well as a 2wd in most comparisons.. A auto will not do as well as a standard. Only an uninformed person would assume otherwise. Then there are standard cabs, super cabs, crew cabs, super crewcabs... all of different weight. Then there are 5 ft beds, 6ft beds, and 8 ft beds. So your pretty much comparing a grape to the sun.
I will say that the better trim packages are totally different from the strip-down models, so also comparing a entry package to the full packages are totally different experiences as well.
