When I got my trailer it only had 2 removable ramps. Well one of them slipped and I nearly turned the tractor over. I immediately went and had 2 ramps installed permanently. My ramps are wide enough to cover the whole width of the trailer. It was costly but I don't regret having it done for my safety. The ramps are 5 feet long. a little heavy to lift but not bad. The only problem I had was it made my trailer real light in tongue weight. I built a box for my chains and made it large enough so I could add some weight to the front hitch.Very important to have enough tongue weight or you will wear your hitch out.
