how many load narrow front tractors on two ramps? Rick n ohio done a great job building his ramps for his trailer but for me they are a little to long, ramps has to be short to load narrow front with two ramps

Always used 2 ramps for both wide and narrow fronts.....nothing to it really, and it's as safe as the operator makes it.

Google: "Loading narrow front tractors on a trailer using two ramps".
There are several You-Tube videos showing it being done.
A lot simpler than I thought it would be!

Suicidal-just because "I doe it" doesn't make it a GOOD thing. See many things @ tractor pulls and shows. 3 ramps is MUCH safer.

I have always loaded my NFE tractors with two ramps and I agree that it could be a challenge with Rick's long ramps. When He was asking for design advice I was the only one to suggest that he cut that nearly level beavertail off and put a more conventional slope on it instead of making loooong ramps. He never acknowledged my suggestion and his beavertail is still nearly horizontal.

I made a middle ramp for loading my tricycles. Sure glad I did. Also worked good for loading up small things like lawn mowers as the factory 2 ramp set up would not slide together close enough.
I made it a low profile so you could just leave it laying on the trailer deck if loading wide fronts.

Just thought of another reason I'm glad I had the third ramp. Sure makes it a lot easier to load and unload a disabled machine with the winch or a push pull.

Forward is easy, reverse can get interesting with only 2 ramps. Also depends how high, and how wide the rear wheels are set.

2 ramps is something I would never even consider doing. So much easier to make that third ramp. And I would say a lot safer. Saw front drop off one time, lucky it was only about a foot. Saw rear wheel about do that with ramp starting to tip over but he made it to get back on the groung without going over.

wife always draws a croud when loading or unloading her farmall ''M'' on trailer at the small events we go to, hers goes up front and mine on the back

When I got my trailer it only had 2 removable ramps. Well one of them slipped and I nearly turned the tractor over. I immediately went and had 2 ramps installed permanently. My ramps are wide enough to cover the whole width of the trailer. It was costly but I don't regret having it done for my safety. The ramps are 5 feet long. a little heavy to lift but not bad. The only problem I had was it made my trailer real light in tongue weight. I built a box for my chains and made it large enough so I could add some weight to the front hitch.Very important to have enough tongue weight or you will wear your hitch out.
