Is there voltage reaching the coil? Should read battery voltage on the ignition side.
Voltage should be battery voltage when points are open, zero when points are closed. If not, points are not making good contact.
If this checks OK, you should have spark at the coil. If you have spark at the coil, next check the towers that feed the plug wires. If no spark there, could be a shorted rotor.
There are quite a few possibilities, but YOU must be the eyes and ears for those of us on this forum.
