Hi, I had a fan belt break on my zb600 diesel motor. To change it I had to separate a star joint (?). It has a rubber 4 pt star that fits snuggly between 2 steel hubs. I slipped the belt through the open joint and got it on the motor. I put the joint back together, started the motor and the hub got hotter than he��. I loosened the pump mounting plate bolts thinking it could be out of alignment. There are washers that fit under the pump bracket but I don't know the order. I'm going to let it run a bit loose to see if it helps. What c o you think?
