Michael ..... I think you live in Alberta right? Yup, October of 1954 it was, CFRN channel 3, at first it didn't come on for weekday viewing till 6 PM, not sure about the weekends. I remember running home from school and watching the test pattern, the big Indian head with all the circles and numbers, those were the days.
