I have 3 Cockshutts that we pull, but in stock classes 4 MPH. One is a 570 Diesel. Cockshutts are geared fairly low. My 570 is bone stock and the more weight you pile on it the better is pulls. We pull from 8000# up through 11,000# and the softer the track the better. You are going to have to do a lot of work to get one down to where you can pull in 3rd or 4th gear if you are looking at 6 MPH. Cockshutts are definitely not the way to go unless you have a lot of money to pay for engine modifications. Hercules parts are scarce and definitely not cheap. The Bosch pump parts are even more expensive and almost non existent. Phil Heisey down on the Oliver /Cockshutt board has lots of parts and lots of experience with Cockshutts, His contact info is listed in a lot of posts. Good luck with your project, but I don't think I can be much help given the fact, we are pulling under a totally different set of rules.
