A few weeks back in a four-hander, one of the players (not my partner) had a 28 ..... the Jack in his hand didn't match the 5 that was cut. I've never seen a 29, or a 28 for that matter until the one I refer to here. Yes, a fantastic game, kids would love it if they would take the time to learn it ..... lots of cribbage sites to play on the internet but it's not the same. There are some counts that don't seem to happen that often, your 18 would be one of them I think. Maybe even a 17 doesn't happen that often? Some counts are impossible of course, like 19, 25, 26, and 27). I've read quite often some cribbage forum Q & A's .... and although some people play the same set of rules, now and then some guys have a rule that I don't agree with. For example, one guy I know insists that you can't win a game by turning up a Jack for the cut card. I think the official crib rules say that is a legal win.
