I ve been there a few times, on vacation, visiting some relatives that live there, and a couple of times on business. I always had a good time. It is hard to get your head around how big it is economically, and how much money is out there. Economically, it s larger than all but a few countries, and with 39 million people, is easily the biggest state population wise.
Back home in the late 80 s, I was visiting family, and noticed a new sub being built. At least a 1000 homes at over $500k each. And my cousin didn t think it was unusual at all. Going into a intersection, and seeing what looked like 4 huge malls, one on each corner. There is probably more retail in LA, than in the whole of Michigan. I looked at some farms there also, simply huge, and very busy. First time I ever saw a really big dairy farm, I was told it had 1500 cows. That was in 1980. It wouldn t be really big anywhere now.
