Remember if you end up selling it for scrap it's going to have to be for LESS, about 1/2 of scrap price to get any takers. It costs money to haul the truck to the scrapyard, dispose of the tires and fluids. No scrap man is going to pay the same as he would get at the yard and work for $0.
Anyone that pays full scrap price for it is going to be the kind of person who is looking to part it out, preserve it, or restore it.
