There was a guy on here just the other day needing a fire truck to keep on the farm for fire prevention. He was thinking of converting an old fuel truck. That sure looks good for the age.
I have no idea of what it would be worth ?

Larry,. That's gonna be a tough sell!!! My Son is a fire fighter and he "collects" fire trucks. He currently owns five of them. Two are in that condition but they were original trucks from his fire dept. He paid very little for them and would not have got them at all except for their history. To be honest a plain jane ford FT is not worth much more than scrap price in that condition, Some fire trucks are worth a little more, if it were a Mac or a Seagrave it would be more desirable but still not much. Figure the weight, and calculate scrap price in your area to come up with a price. Then put an add on C-list and see what happens, Someone may want to save it!!!,,,Ed

to set the price it is whether it runs.pumps water, and tank holds water---than i would go 2x scrap price to start

As said, determine the weight, put a scrap price on the table.

Then decide, is it worth the extra cost to drag it out, get air in the tires, put a battery in, get it running and driving around the yard.

That will increase the value, but require an investment of time and money.

It's up to the owner from there.

larry@stinescorner, i have no idea where on the planet you are but i would buy that in a heart beat! i love them old and older firetrucks!

some states will allow you to sell on an online auction without a title, ks however, wont, but an online auction may be your best bet. there is a facebook group,

https://www.facebook.com/groups/61776127093

that is nothing but old firetrucks, that may be a great place to get it sold also....unless you are close to kansas and dont need a lot of money for it, cause then im your guy!!

The value will depend on condition of the truck, if it runs good
brakes work tires are decent and pump works it has collectors
value if it needs a lot of work it won?t be too valuable. The
truck can and chassis may also be desirable if in good shape
even if the fire fighting parts are not functional. You could look
on auctionsinternational dot com they sell a lot of surplus
equipment in the North east and you may be able to check
past prices for similar older fire trucks to get some ideas and
maybe list it there. I would also search online for vintage fire
truck collectors associations or clubs, they might be able to
help you with value and possibly another place to advertise
the truck. Also possibly look for Wheels of time magazine or online.

Remember if you end up selling it for scrap it's going to have to be for LESS, about 1/2 of scrap price to get any takers. It costs money to haul the truck to the scrapyard, dispose of the tires and fluids. No scrap man is going to pay the same as he would get at the yard and work for $0.

Anyone that pays full scrap price for it is going to be the kind of person who is looking to part it out, preserve it, or restore it.
