Going to do a load of laundry before lunch. The cold water shutoff didn't shutoff. Why have floor drains when water runs away from the drain. Same with both garages. Water runs away from floor drains. I don't put drain in pole barn and don't plan to put one in the new one either.
I have a simple rule, don't run an appliance unattended.
One time dishwasher flooded kitchen,. Same problem, water didn't shutoff. Good thing someone was home and got wet feet or things would have been worse.
Took 2 hours and 2 16 shop vacs to pick up water. Now fans are running.
So don't turn on an appliance if you are planning to leave. George
