Gear Ratio Math?

I have an International 240 Utility. I would like to reduce the reverse speed. The tractor has standard gears or a "high speed low and reverse gear" option. My math doesn't agree with IH. What am I missing? Standard Gears (some gears are marked "Lo")
Transmission input gear 22 teeth
Reverse Idler gear 14 teeth
Transmission output gear 47 teeth
Max Reverse Speed 2.7 MPH High Speed Low, Reverse Gears
Transmission input gear 20 teeth
Reverse Idler Gear 16 teeth
Transmission Output Gear 45 teeth
Max Reverse Speed 2.9 MPH My math gives me a 1:0.4681 for "standard" gears and 1:0.4444 for "high speed" gears. Why is the "high speed" 5% slower with my math? What am I missing? K-Mo
