In Ontario it doesn t matter what it is if it exceeds 25MPH on the road, it must be plated .
Machine or vehicle with the SMV sign must be dedicated to farming , animal husbandry , construction , fishing . Can not be a car or truck just driven under 25MPH. Although as an example listed in the rules is a school bus with most of the seats and most of the rear body removed . It is acceptable if used to haul bales of hay or a gravity bin of grain .
