I use 4 ft LED bright white 5000L from RK, $11. I have issues with LED dusk to dawn lights. No parts available. When it goes bad you have to climb a ladder and remove fixture from farm. Scary work. Need 3 hands getting fixture on and off.
So, using my 70 year old redneck skills, I gut old mercury vapor dusk to dawn light. Install a conventional light bulb base. Use just the light sensor and buy the brightest cob LED. Only two parts, phote eye and replaceable LED bulb.
I've done this to 6 dusk to dawn lights. Been working for years.
