Many original batteries do not last long because of dealer abuse.
Tractors sit on lot for months, are occasionally started to move around on lot but not allowed to run enough to charge battery. No one EVER charges the batteries in the tractors sitting on the lot but simply use their jump pack to start one when necessary and the battery has been discharged. Such abuse significantly shortens the life of the original batteries.
When buying a new tractor, I insist that the battery be replaced unless I saw the tractor arrive from the manufacturer on the pallet recently.
