Ok John not sure where your going to be honest. The blocks we set were 10' apart, 4' deep. Perimiter only. Nothing inside the walls. 15' to the eaves. Barn runs north and south. Our wind normally comes from the west. So the building usually takes the brunt of the wind. We have had many strong winds since it was built. 65mph plus. Barn is fine. I should also say though that the posts are 6x6 steel with a 3/4 inch base plate. Barn isnt shielded from the wind either. On a wide open hill. We had the means to build it this way, and there is no way someone could convince me buried 6x6 wood could even come close in strength and integrity.
