I know every financial advisor will say work till your 70 or 75 because the average male in America lives beyond 85. At 60 I was the oldest living male in my extended family. And even though I've tried to take good care of myself well.... you never know. My Father passed at 60, my cousin at 64. I've watched others work till bad health or death became their retirement. As has already been stated, make sure you can be financially stable, then retire. If your work is your life, then don't.
I retired at 60. For me, so far retirement has been the best years of my life.
