To cut washboard without making it worse, cut with the blade on maximum angle or turn the blade backwards & operate in reverse.When running backwards keep a sharp eye on all pins(a blade corner & large tires don't mix).When you grade this way your tractor is running on the smoothed surface & the blade stays level. When you grade forward & the front tire climbs a washboard the blade digs down making it worse.The fastest way i've found is to use a heavy box blade with long side frames & run forward.
