Don't know if that carb has replaceable throttle shaft bushings or not. If not forget this post. If it does, make sure that the end of the bushing meets up with the inside bore of the carb. If it doesn't air will bypass the throttle plate ('specially at idle) & things just won't work right. Found this on a Minnie Z that ran like crap. Somebody had drilled out the throttle shaft hole (presumably well worn) & installed his own bushings but they were short & allowing throttle bypass. Pushed the bushings in farther & he calmed right down. Good luck.
