I have around 3000 hours of operating Rs in 1952, 1953 and 1955 for an uncle and a neighbor. Awesome indeed. As were the 80s, 820s and 830s. Last I had read, that first R, S/N 1000, is now back with its original owner, a Mr. Louis Toavs of Montana (Wolf Point I think). 2 gallons of fuel per hour at full load, quite impressive.
